MEN’S BUSINESS CASUAL PORTRAITS
Most of our male clientele opts to add on an additional look to their business headshot session: a men’s casual portrait. Clothing for a casual business portrait is often a jacket paired with an open dress shirt, shirt and tie (no jacket), or a dress shirt on its own. A men’s casual portrait will give you additional options and looks for those last minute editorial image deadlines. A causal headshot or ¾ length portrait is essential for any person in a leadership role such as management, consultants, CEOs, CFOs, and board of directors. It is also valuable to someone that writes articles, editorials, or even authors a book. Mutiple headshot looks and a variety of business headshot images will give you options for your online profile images that should be updated frequently such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. You read more below on clothing tips for your casual headshot session.
Here are a few clothing tips for your business casual portrait. For a no-jacket casual look, bring solid colored long sleeve shirts. The shirts must be well pressed and ironed. We have a room here in the studio so you can change into the casual attire here right before your session.
A white dress shirt by itself is a bad idea unless you plan to wear it underneath a jacket or sweater. You should bring a few different jackets, shirt colors and ties so we can choices and suggest attire for your session. We always recommend to stick to classic styles and avoid trendy clothes that will date your photo. It is not a good idea to wear short sleeves for any business portrait. Short sleeve shirts often look too casual and any part that does not get cropped off will be distracting to your overall image. You can view our background options here.
